Celtic Locket is a colorful and mostly green beaded necklace holding a solid silver a locket type pendant. Two coral bead accent contrasting with the green glass beads.
The pendant design is Celtic inspired. The pendant's emblem is also Celtic or Irish inspired. The necklace was constructed with Roman ancient green and blue beads, coral and Czech glass beads.
The necklace catch is handmade by hammered silver clasp. The bail holding the pendant was wax carved and unique. This necklace is almost like a choker but a little loser and the pendant hangs just above the breast.
The necklace is 19.5 inches long or 49cm from clasp to clasp. The pendant hangs high but not too tight like a choker.
The pendant is a one of a kind design, sculpted and cast in silver. This piece was inspired by some kind of visionary thing. As I waited for a flight in Seattle, I gazed at the passengers waiting in line. I noticed an interesting piece of jewelry on one of the passengers. I was so intrigued with the design I couldn’t resist taking a closer look. But when I got close enough I realized it wasn’t a piece of jewelry at all, but a coin and a ring strung on a cord. I guess my mind concocted that image. Back home, I quickly sketched the imagined design on a piece of paper and reconstructed it when I got back to my studio. And the result is the Celtic Locket.
