A solid silver ring with a star and a moon carved at the shank. This is a solid silver ring. A masculine ring but not a man's ring exclusively. Weighs 0.415 oz or 11.7 gm a small range of sizes are available.
This ring is not my original design but my "cover" of a popular design. This is a replica of the "anel da lua e estrela" immortalized by the Caetano Veloso's song (you can hear bellow). This ring was very popular in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil during the 70’s and a huge hit with young crowd. It was mass produced at that time and they were cheap in my opinion.
Being a big fan of the ring, and thought the design deserved a remake. I promised myself I would re create the Star and Moon ring of my youth one day. A promise I've never forgot, and now it is here.
I’m proud to show you, my own version. It is bold and solid as I have envisioned.
I hope you enjoy it. The star and the moon is an ancient symbol and have been used since the beginning of civilization by many cultures and religions. The star and the moon have been used, not only in rings but in many other forms of jewelry. It is one the most recognized Muslim symbols, but the star and moon have also been used by ancient cultures, flags and spiritual traditions.
